One of the primary focuses of North Carolina Masters Commission is missions and evangelism. North Carolina Master's Commission students will have many opportunities to go and tell people in many places about what Jesus has done. Students will have the opportunity to go on many different missions trips. Each trip will be a unique and exciting opportunity, to share Christ. Students will get to learn all the practical skills such as trip planning, fund-raising, outreach, international and cross cultural relations. It's all here to make you effective. As well as having a incredible time. It will be a chance for God to develop you at the same time as doing something unbelievable. Once you get involved in NCMC you will NEVER be the same.
One of the main reasons North Carolina Master's Commission exists is to help provide dynamic missions training all over world. After training, NCMC students will help to teach and promote courses in missions, children's ministry, drama, puppetry, preaching, worship leading and many others. These courses will give you the chance to travel to different parts of the country and also have an effect on the outreach all over the nation,.
Pastor Dave's Africa missions trip
Maltby, England
One of the advantages of being part of a church that has many contacts all over the world is that we find ourselves with open invitations to come and encourage and minister. One of these great opportunities is a friendly church in Maltby, England. This is one of the places we have already visited as an NCMC team. While we were there we worked with many schools throughout the area, doing school assemblies and telling students about Jesus. We used drama, brick breaking, and testimonies.
"I can honestly say this missions trip to Maltby was the best mission's trip that I have ever been on. We spent the majority of our ten days there working in schools and ministering to the young people in the area. We made great friends and had a lot of fun but what I enjoyed most was the fact that I know we made a lasting difference in the lives of many people there. We had the opportunity to tell over 3000 students about Jesus in less than ten days! It was the most fun I've ever had on a trip and I know I won't forget it."

House of Hope - Orlando
In January of this year we had the pleasure of working with an incredible ministry called House of Hope, based out of Orlando, Florida. House of Hope works with teens struggling with substance abuse or other problems. Students generally stay there for a year. During their time there their lives are radically changed. We had the chance to work with them for a week, doing everthing from holding services to helping students with their homework. It was a great chance to speak into the lives of these teens. We look forward to going back next year.
"Working with House of Hope in Florida was one of the most memorable experiences of my year at NCMC. Ministering to those hurting teenagers renewed my passion for the lost of this world. This trip also gave me a new understanding of the magnitude of God's love for his children everywhere, in all walks of life."

School Assemblies
Ocean City, Maryland
One of the first things students will do at NCMC is go on a ministry trip to Ocean City, Maryland. This is one of the most life-changing trips you will ever be on. We will have the opportunity to minister on a boardwalk crowded with people, sharing dramas, music and speaking. We will minister one on one with people. We will also have a great time relaxing in the sun and getting to know each other better. In the evenings we hold services at a christian outreach center called the Son's Spot. Know that when you come on this trip you will not return the same.
Local Missions & Outreach
North Carolina Masters Commission has a great many opportunities for Local Missions. Just look at the way that Masters commission is involved locally in the community.
Trip to Hell
Every October we hold a huge outreach called Trip to Hell. People from all over the state have come to see this production. Trip to Hell is an intense outdoor drama. Groups of people come and walk through the drama scene by scene. Each scene depicts real life events like: drunk driving, suicide and murder. At the end of the drama groups are shown the reality of heaven and hell. They are given the chance to choose Jesus. We have had thousands come to see Trip to Hell and hundreds have made decisions to follow Jesus. This is an awesome event to be a part of.
Prison Ministry
Another exciting ministry NCMC is involved with on a regular basis is Prison Ministry. We work with local ministers who take the Gospel into our local prisons. This has been a life changing experience not only for the inmates but for those of us ministering as well.
"The prisons are very hard to live in and many prisoners feel that there is no hope for them at all. Families have forgotten them, while society shows them no respect. Many know that they have ruined their lives and believe that nothing can help them. We visit with them once a month and show them, that no matter what they have done in their past...God still loves them and wants to be a part of their present and future. We have seen men saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit."

Vacation Bible Schools
We will be doing several different outreaches to children. One of the most incredible things you will get to do is be a part of the VBS that we will do around the community at the end of the school year. We will actually go into a small community and set up a VBS there in the park. It has been amazing to see the kid's reaction to this. They love that someone loves them enough to do this for them.
H2O Youth Ministry is the name of our church's youth ministry. Of all the ministries at First Assembly, this is the one that MC students are most involved with. It ministers to students from the ages of 11 to 19 and focuses on building a bridge between the church and young people. Master's students have the opportunity to be involved in every step of the process, from school assemblies, through the time of first introducing them to Jesus, and then eventually in the direct sharing of the Good News at Youth STOMP Nights and discipleship in the Youth Church.
School Assemblies
We have an awesome opportunity to take school assemblies for all age groups. We have mostly been involved in middle and high school assemblies and FCA's. Next year we anticipate taking this ministry to the next level. We present a variety of things in assemblies including brick breaking, dramas, illustrations, human videos and personal illustraions.
H2O Youth Church
H2O is a place to build on the friendships formed in the schools and cafe. H2O is a place where students will have the chance to meet with the Living God. H2O is exciting and real. MC's will be able to assist in worship, preaching, illustrations, drama or other areas of interest.
H2O Cells
MC's will have the chance to lead youth cell meetings twice a month. This is a great time to break our group up and really focus on discipleship. With MC's leading this past year we have seen awesome results!
City Lites Kid's Church
NCMC also works with our Kid's Church at First Assembly and has helped with other kid's churches nearby. If you feel called to work with children this is a great chance to get started, not to mention have a ton of fun. ;-)
